Was Mr. Heard a good person from your point of view ? And what about Mr. Dix?
I think Mr.Head selfish person because he threatened her to drown himself if she don't merry him.I think it is very silly and badly.Also I think Mr.Dix not as bad as Mr.Heard but he is lying person and isn't attractive part of his character.

In my opinion Mr. Hurd is a bad man because he extorted miss Smith to get married and after a failed suicide tricked her into getting it. And Mr. Dix in this situation is the exact opposite because he helped him (without knowing the intent) to play the rescue

From my point of view Mr. Head was not a good person. Because he wanted to drown himself only because Emma said 'no' when he asked her to marry him. I think that he made a wrong and very silly decision. So,Mr.Dix is not good person, but in the same time he is not bad person, the worst thing in his character is that he's lying

УдалитьFrom my point of view neither Mr.Heard nor Mr.Dix were good persons. They both were big liars. Mr.Heard lied Emma that he would drown himself. Mr.Dix made up a lie about Mr.Heard's committing suicide and saving Mr.Heard's life. Then both of them lied to the whole town about this "accident". They used the lie for their own aims. Mr.Dix used it to be with Emma. But when Mr.Heard understood that their lie worked against him, he decided to tell the truth. Anyway he did it because he wanted to change people's mind about Mr.Dix.

I think that both of them were very vile. Mr. Head wanted to force a woman to mary him by a threat, which was even not veritable. And after that took another attempt to win her heart with a lie. Mr. Dix wasn't better his mate, because he did absolutely the same things. The only difference was that he made his point. And when his lie was discovered he denied everything. Also it would be useful to notice, that Mr. Head discovered his own lie obviously not well-meaning. So, concluding the both men were miserable, that's my point of view.

He was sent off by a girl and he behaved as selfishly in response to her. He was simply at a loss and wanted her to pay attention to him. I think this is not a sign of a bad person. Mr. Dix was not a bad person too. He lied to Mr. Smith to help Arthur. They agreed and he kept his word.
ОтветитьУдалитьWhen Mr. Dix became happy with Emma, Arthur behaved badly towards him, telling the whole truth to her father. But Mr. Dix, despite Arthur’s feelings, stayed with Emma, without telling her the whole truth. They were not bad people, their behavior is typical of many of us.

From my point of view Mr. Head was more silly, than bad person. If i call this person 'bad', i will underrate him. Mr. Head just made me laugh. For my opinion , Mr. Dix was bad person, but not because he lied. He is bad for me , because he dicided to be with Emma. In any case, i don't praise each of this persons.

From my point Mr.Head is coward and liar,he found easy ways to “live nice”, my mind of him is neutral,but I think he is negative character of story.

I don't think that Mr. Heard is a good person, but also i cannot call him a bad person. I would say that he is selfish, because he decided to drown solely in order to upset Emma, and she would blame herself in that. i also can call him stupid, because he didn't think, that he could meet another girl and be happy with her in the future. But he decided to follow the path of least resistance, that makes him a weak-willed person.

From my point of view, Mr. Head is not a very good person. He told Emma Smith that he wanted to commit suicide, although in reality he was not going do it. I think that was no point for joke.It was silly for him.Mr. Dix decided to help him, but chose the wrong way. In my opinion, both Heard and Dix didn’t do very well. They lied to the Smith family. And everything that is based on lies always ends badly.

From my point i think that Mr.Head is a selfish person. Mr. Dicks asked for help to make Emma fall in love with him, and he(mr Head) used this to become famous and Emma fell in love with him. Garayutina Nastya
